Welcome to The Choccy Box Terms and conditions page, please read these carefully before making a booking with The Choccy Box
General Terms
Your use and purchase of products and services from The Choccy Box is governed by the terms and conditions set out below.
Prices and Payment
The prices for goods and services displayed for sale are The Choccy
Box prices and are inclusive of VAT, labour, ingredients, condiments plus delivery
within 75 miles of Torquay where applicable, and any such additional charges are
clearly displayed where they may apply. Prices displayed are valid and effective
only in the United Kingdom. The Choccy Box cannot accept your order until you have
paid a non refundable deposit of a minimum of £100 unless otherwise agreed. Upon
payment of your deposit, we will confirm acceptance of your order by email or mail
which will be sent to the appropriate address provided on your order details. Whether
or not you receive the mail or email of our acceptance of your order, a completed
and signed booking form will create a legally binding contract between us. The rental
contract is only for the date agreed and is non-
Your right to cancel your order
You may cancel your order within 14 days of making
your booking. If you wish to cancel your order this can be done by phoning us on
01803 613740 / 615901. If you cancel your order after 14 days of making your booking,
you will not receive your deposit. If a cancellation is made within 28 days of your
event, you will still be liable to pay the full amount for your booking. It is the
hirer’s responsibility to ensure that the venue or contractor accepts chocolate fountains
and will provide us with a table of a minimum 4 feet in diameter and a 13 amp power
supply.
General
The chocolate and dips may not be suitable for nut or seed allergy sufferers.
We will require a table for our chocolate fountain of no less than 4 foot in diameter
or 4 foot square. It is your responsibility to ensure that your venue has this available
for us, please ensure that you inform them of this requirement. The Choccy Box shall
not be held responsible for any damage to clothing, furniture, carpets and venue
decor and will take no responsibility for any cleaning costs incurred. We shall not
be liable to you where performance of any of our obligations to you is prevented,
frustrated or impeded by reasons by act of God, war and other hostilities, civil
commotion, accident, strikes, lock outs, trade disputes, acts or restraints of Government
imposition or restrictions of imports or exports or any other cause not within reasonable
control of The Choccy Box . If any part of these terms and conditions is found to
be unenforceable as a matter of law all other parts of these terms and conditions
shall not be affected and shall remain in force. To the extent permitted by law The
Choccy Box accept no liability for any loss damage or injury arising as a consequence
of the advice provided. These terms and conditions and any contact between us shall
be governed by and constructed in accordance with English law and the English courts
shall have jurisdiction over any dispute between us.
The service we provide
The service provided to you in accordance with this contract
is described in our brochure and on our website. We reserve the right to change the
dips or chocolate provided at any point in time due to circumstances beyond our control.
We reserve the right to cancel the contract at any point in time should we foresee
any problems relating to the supply of the goods or services. We will always endeavour
to contact you at the earliest point in time should there be any need to cancel the
contract or amend any contents therein. Any theft or damages to our equipment at
the location of the booking will be liable to you. Under extreme circumstances, we
may find it necessary to provide a third party to supply the service and we retain
our rights herein. We reserve the right to withdraw our service at any time during
an event as a result of disorderly or criminal behaviour of any third parties that
we feel may pose a risk to other third parties and our staff.
In these terms and conditions:-
“The Choccy Box” means The Choccy Box and any other
connected organisation that supplies the goods ordered by you and any successor of
its business;
“We, our and Us” means The Choccy Box either alone or together with
you, as the context requires;
“You” means the person ordering goods subject to these
terms and conditions
